In this position you get the opportunity to work with a variety of drilling activities, from early well planning to drilling operations. Noreco is drilling operator in Norway, UK and Denmark, and has an extensive exploration program.
Responsibilities:
- Lead well planning activities, develop appropriate drilling designs and provide cost and time estimates for budget and AFE preparation
- Develop and support preparation of site surveys, chemical usage and discharge permits, well plans, and applications for consent to drill for submission to governmental agencies
- Provide drilling and completions input to field development studies, license rounds and acquisition discussions
- Manage drilling and wells related contracts, including fulfilling Noreco’s “see to” duty for the contractors’ activities.
- Work in co-operation with the subsurface staff to optimize planning and execution of all well related operations
- Accountability for HSE in drilling and wells operations
- Participate in follow up of partner operated wells including any up front technical review of plans and programs.
The position reports to the Drilling Manager
Qualifications:
- M.Sc. in reservoir, petroleum engineering or equivalent
- Minimum 10 years of relevant drilling experience
- Systematic and analytical
- Self-motivated
- Team player with good communication skills
